How did I attract/address my audience? (5)

Via the use of filming this video, I can only conclude that appealing to my target audience has been very successful. I filmed two boys and two girls giving their feedback on my magazine (The F Word). Although my focus group is only aimed at females, I wanted to also use males to see if they would automatically recognize that this magazine was for women. Both genders immediately picked up on the fact that my magazine was a metal magazine for girls only and this was usually discovered by the use of the pink in the masthead and how all the models throughout were female. I was extremely pleased that they noticed this without any prompting because that if the effect that I had desired to achieve. Both genders also able to spot the similarities between my magazine and other generic magazines, e.g. some took notice of the font of the masthead and how it looks as though it is decaying and is broken, not unlike the Kerrang masthead. They commented a few times on the use of font and colour and how the pink, white and black combination went well with the feminine metal genre whilst keeping a feeling of elegance by using the script font. All four of the young adults that I interviewed took a preferred reading which I was pleased with, they all agreed that the contents of the magazine really relates to my target audience.
