Editing cover photo

This is the process I took to edit Ruby for my cover page. To begin with, I added a Gaussian blur of 10% to the image and used the rubber tool to rub the blur away from her face. Followed by the shoulders and a low opacity on the t-shirt to create a shallow depth of field, drawing the readers eyes to the cover model and magazine in general. I changed Ruby's eye colour to the same green as the green on her t shirt which I think brings the image together and creates a running colour theme of mostly reds and greens. I also wanted her eyes to stand out and grab the audiences attention and this has been created via the use of a brightening brush around her eyes and the vividness of the green in her eyes.
